To fall in love is easy, even to remain in it is not difficult; our human loneliness is cause enough. But it is a hard quest worth making to find a comrade through whose steady presence one becomes steadily the person one desires to be. – Anna Louise Strong
This installment of Tarot Lab Rats had me a little starstruck, to be honest. I started using Twitter a while ago, and found some great fellow workers. Theresa Reed is one of these people. Her website is www.thetarotlady.com, and she’s pretty fantastic. One of the things I love about our little community of tarot readers is that everyone is very supportive of everyone else. With this in mind, and with my fingers crossed, I emailed Theresa and asked if she would be a Tarot Lab Rat for me. She said yes! Yay! Ok, now that I’m finished gushing, here is her reading.
The first card was the Three of Wands. This card is generally about new opportunities and a new impetus to go into new
directions. Theresa’s husband is going through changes with his job, and is right in the middle of a huge transition. The Three of Wands told me that he is absolutely making the right decision. Sometimes, having validation in the middle of transition helps immensely – it’s good to know that you’re on the right path.
The next card was the Three of Cups. I call this the “Yes, yes, yes” card. Theresa’s family has an army of good friends. The support is there, they just have to tip the cup and drink it in. She and her sweetie have a renewed sense of relationship these days, and their “Team Us” is very strong. Lots of emotional support, lots of love. It’s also telling me that Theresa’s circle of friends are helping her through this change as well. The Three of Cups has a lot of female energy – in the Rider deck, it’s three young women dancing together, raising their glasses to each other. So she has the strength of her sisters as well as of her mister. : )
The last card was the Queen of Swords. All I hear is be still, be still, be still. Breathe, breathe, breathe. Theresa is a fixer and a doer. She doesn’t like seeing problems that she can’t jump in and fix. In this instance, tho, she’s not allowed. Her role in this transition is to be still. Her husband needs to know that nothing has changed for him at home. That he has a safe place with a steady routine and she’s there to listen when he needs it. The Queen of Swords is sometimes viewed as harsh, but there is a large quality of Being Still with her, too. Theresa is unfailingly loyal and steady for those around her. This time, instead of leading with her heart and saving the day, she’ll lead with her head and be a rock for her partner to lean on.
While i was doing the reading, I got this image of lovely gardens and flowers – turns out that Theresa and her husband have beautiful gardens
at their home, and gardening will be an excellent release for any tension or stress that’s building up. It’s going to act as a healing tool for them, and will help them communicate and spend time together.
Thanks again to Theresa for allowing me to read for her! It was great, and I loved getting a peek of spring when I got to see her gardens.
